Poor George. He's never seen any movies. Rather than mourn their dear friend, Travis and Dan have taken it upon themselves to show him what he is missing. But they don't stop at showing him famous movies! They also help George to understand how each film fits into the Great Narrative of Film. Not only THAT the film of the week is significant, but WHY and HOW. Also, they make jokes and stuff.

George knew going in that he was in for some "Jack Nicholson acting crazy" but he had no idea what all he was getting himself into!
Will George savor the performances in a movie that can be summarized, in its entirety, in a short run-on sentence? Can Travis contain his excitement for a movie that is literally all about acting chops and "being in the moment"? Does Dan once again manage to reference Giallo in a completly inappropriate moment? Tune in to find out!

George didn't remember who Paul Verhoeven was when Travis spilled the beans at the end of the previous episode. Will he be happy to be reunited with the director who went right over his head with Robocop and dragged him to Mars with Total Recall?
How will George survive the most patently erotic movie in the curriculum (so far)? Did Travis remember his kilt? Can Dan keep the guys from falling completely in the gutter? Stay tuned to find out!

The Godfather: Part II (1974)
Wednesday Aug 04, 2021
Wednesday Aug 04, 2021
George loved The Godfather. So following it with the equally well-respected The Godfather: Part II is a homerun right? How could George possibly think anything but how completely the "best sequel of all-time" knocks his cinema socks off? HOW!?
Could George's "take" on Godfather II prove to be more offensive than his accents in the Part 1 episode? Does Dan manage to ruin Godfather II with anything cavernous or built to be tested? Will Travis be back next week?

The Godfather (1972)
Wednesday Jul 28, 2021
Wednesday Jul 28, 2021
George knew going into the Godfather that it is rated as one of the best movies of all time. Will the reputation of Coppola's classic set George up for failure? Will he dislike one of, if not the, best movie ever made? And will Dan's knowledge of the source material ruin George's first impression (skip to around an hour to find out!)
Will George do offensive voices for the duration of the podcast? Or will he stick to his allotted 25% accent maximum? Can Travis's Vito impression outshine his Buffalo Bill? Did Dan really just ruin the Godfather for everybody?

Wednesday Jul 21, 2021
George has been for a swim with Poltergeist and taken the leap with The Exorcist so it is only natural that he now gets to go on a relaxing British holiday with the Omen. But it might not be as peaceful as it seems...
Will George ever learn to embrace direction? Is Iron Man 2 really the hill Travis has chosen to die on? Dan isn't defending "that scene" again is he? Again? And did he just say cunning linguist? He didn't? He said the other thing? Don't Look Now, folks, the boys are off the rails!

The Shining (1980)
Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
George has wanted to watch the Shining for years. He knows he like Stanley Kubrick's work and this is one he has heard great things about. It also never occurred to George that people can just... watch movies because they want to. But his shortsightedness is our benefit as we got to show him The Shining for the first time!
Thanks to our new sponsor!
Did George find his stay at the Overlook to be anywhere near what he hoped it would be? Can Travis convince Dan that Wendy is the real antagonist? Is this the scariest tricycle in movie history?

Hellraiser (1987)
Wednesday Jul 07, 2021
Wednesday Jul 07, 2021
At the conclusion of our last episode, George was all pumped up for Hellraiser. He was excited for the leather jackets, big guns and motorcycle badassery. You see... George had no idea what he was getting into and tonight's viewing of the 1987 S&M-themed erotic horror nightmare left him... disturbed.
What event made George scared of Jesus? Will Travis let a puzzle box into his home? Is Dan really going to bat for THAT MOVIE OF ALL MOVIES!? We have such sounds to show you...

Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
In celebration of the upcoming July 4th holiday in the US, Travis and Dan are sending George out into the water. The beach is open and there is no truth to the rumors floating around the Amity County Police Department re: a shark attack!
Will George ever set foot in the ocean again? Did Dan manage to ruin Travis's favorite shark adventure with Giallo history? Will Travis quit the podcast to become a virtual Universal Jaws "The Ride" tour guide? Did the guys just write a superior Jaws 2!?

The Exorcist (1973)
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
Wednesday Jun 23, 2021
George is in for another week of demonic possession and threatening little girls... And also we made him watch a movie for the podcast! We watched William Friedkin's The Exorcist from 1973.
Will Captain Howdy be visiting George after the lights go out tonight? How valuable would a comic book need to be before Travis would risk touching a Ouija Board? How heebie'd were Dan's jeebies this time around?

Poltergeist (1982)
Wednesday Jun 16, 2021
Wednesday Jun 16, 2021
George wasn't sure if he was watching a demonic possession movie or a ghost movie this week. Either way... he was bound to get what he was after. We watched Poltergeist from 1982 and while we my have moved the tombstones... did we move the bodies?
How would a youthful Travis or George have reacted to be a child in a theater in 1982? Will Parent-Travis love the movie as much as Child-Travis and Adult-Travis has over all these years? Will Dan mince words when it comes to how he feels about the internet theory that all of this is a drug induced hallucination?

The Thing (1982)
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
George has seen Halloween. Is he ready for John Carpenter's take on Sci-Fi horror splatter? Dan made George watch two movies this week. The Thing From Another World (1951) and the much more well-known remake (and one of Travis's favorite movies) The Thing (1982).
Will George figure out what the F he just watched? Or does he need another prescription for Morning Hollywood? Did Travis ever find resolution in his struggles with the upside down head spider? Will Dan's theory on Tentpole Film Scoring hold any water?

12 Monkeys (1995)
Wednesday Jun 02, 2021
Wednesday Jun 02, 2021
Wait, it has only been a week since the last RFCP episode... Did this show just go WEEKLY!? It did, indeed.
Travis takes the lead this week, showing both George and Dan a film they've never seen, and one which is near and dear to his heart: Bruce Willis time-traveling to prevent a pandemic that kills most of the world. Just the kind of lightweight fair you would expect from the director of Monty Python and the Holy Grail...
How will George react to Brad Pitt howling like a monkey in the back of a school bus? Will Travis convince the guys that this movie is on par with Se7en (1995)? Will Dan find room in his biased little heart to look past the unexplained pseudoscience and convenient technological cherry picking to love a Sci-Fi movie with more drool than detail?

28 Days Later (2002)
Wednesday May 26, 2021
Wednesday May 26, 2021
Spring OUTbreak is over and George is all done with zombies... OR IS HE? We get him back on track to the mainstream with a little independent British classic... about zombies. But, like, fast zombies that don't want your brains they are just REALLY MAD at you.
Will George pitch a fit at fast zombies? Did Travis accidentally watch I Am Legend (2007) and is just trying to play it off? Did Dan just offset a Greek Mythology lesson with a joke so horrible it shocked George and rendered Travis speechless?
